mmcd not logging for me??

i recently downloaded the mmcd software and i have a new looking cable and everything but it just wont connect and log. i get no readings from the palm. i looked the setup up and i did it right....everythings installed correctly (ports) 1, 10,12 i believe. i have it installed on 2 palms the m515 and the other one is the m100 i think. but i havent tried the m100 yet cause the batteries are dead.

any help?

I have the same exact problem, no info ever shows up. I might just throw down some money and get the pocketlogger. Im looking for info about this if I figure it out Ill let you know

I would suggest you keep trying before you spend too much on a program which you can get basically the same for free. I think with 90's there is something different about the logging cable, something about auto on or something, I'll look around for it.

Try a different cable, i bought a new cable and it wasn't working, so i used a friends cable and it worked.

What version of MMCD are you using?? If your using the newer 1.8 version go under preferences and check that the following settings are correct.
COM: 1920bps
Vehicle: DSM

If your using an older version I believe the setting are the same but I'm not sure. If the logging screen is staying on and it's not saying anything about a serial com error your cable should be okay. I'm using the very same Palm M515 and version 1.8 software.
