Halifax,
Hey guys, I made my own passive palm logger cable for MMCD following the directoins I found on the forum (Thanks Steve). Everything seemed to go well until I tried to log, getting no signal and an "ECU comm error" using the Test feature of MMCD.

I tried moving the connections around at the ALDL connector with no luck (they are on very snug, I have the proper female fittings). I also tried reinstalling MMCD with no luck.

Is there a way I can test the logger cable I made (with a voltmeter?) It seemed to go together well and I followed the directions (pretty straight forward).

Thanks for any help.

Will post a picture this evening or tomorrow.

I'm using the Handera 330 (kinda rare, out there, but similar to a III) with OS 3.5.3.

Thanks

Keep in mind that the passive cables depend on the PDA serial port support non-standard RS232 input signaling and being able to output something close to 12v on the positive swing. This is part of the problem with Clie's.

Hmm.. well it uses a standard Palm hotsync cradle and communicates fine with the Hotsync software.

I'll try and get a picture of my cable tonight.

Thanks
