Well guys, when I hit a really hard bump in the road (has to be pretty bad) the check engine light flashes, and stays on for about 3-4 seconds.

The car seems to bog down during the 3-4 seconds also. When I drop the hood, it also triggers the check engine light for the same 3-4 seconds, and bogs down a bit.

I had a friend drop the hood, while tapping the "READ" button on the MMCD software on my Palm Pilot. The line that usually displays the number code read "Serial Comm. Error" no numbers or anything, just exactly what I typed.

I recently wired in an AFC2, so I thought that would be the culprit. Withe the car running, removed the panels, and ECU, then gave everything a good shake and no bogging down, no check engine light or anything. I gave a good tug on everything, multiple times, and no results at all.

After ruling out the wiring for the ECU/AFC2 I'm not sure what else could be the problem? Thanks for any help! I'm not even sure that this is a CEL code, maybe the logger can't pick it up since it only displays for about 3-4 seconds, then shuts off everytime.

Thanks for any suggestions/help.
