hey guys, i had a quick question.
is it posible to buy mivech pistons, valves, cams, to make a 4g63 a mivech motor?
if posible...what all needs to be done? does anyone know?
also...does mivech work the same as vtech?

The head is built 180 degrees the opposite as the head sits on our early 4g63's.

so its like the 420a? cant we just buy the internals to make it a mivech on a 4g63's? :shhh: ROFL meaning valves. maybe cams, pistons etc...

1g dsm d22, thank you for the quality posts. Thank you for asking the most mundane and obvious of questions. Thank you for adding to the community. MIVEC is the appropriate spelling and no is your answer. Think, research, and post, this is the basic formula for getting answers.

Being honest, Mivec works well for a modded street car. But don't the high horsepower EVOs run cams without Mivec anyways? I know you reach a certain level (performance wise) in the Honda tuning community where people install cams without VTEC. My point in all this, with the $ it would take to install the 4G63 from an EVO 9 (because that's the only way to get MIVEC in our DSMs) you could rebuild your 4G63 and boost the living snot out of it beyond the point MIVEC would do any good.

Just my .02

You don't seem to understand the concept of MIVEC. With some modification yeah you can put Evo cams into regular 4g63 head. You can also put the crank, pistons, and rods with some modification as well. Does that make it a MIVEC motor? No.

After i wrecked my 94 mirage that i was going to do a 6 bolt 4g swap to i got a 01 mirage that because of the build of the car 4g swaps in the newer mirages were sooo expensive to do. I had planned on a mivec swap in it. They aren't bad motors at all, and i researched alot. But i do agree, build the heck outta your 4g and boost the heck outta it. More performance for the money

dont have to be an ass just to say a simple "NO".:notgood: and did search but nothing really answered my question.

The answer is no, but you would have found this if you had done a search.

And MIVEC is the correct spelling. VTEC is also the correct spelling for the Honda adjustable cam technology. VTECH is the name of an electronics company that makes cordless phones.
