Hello fellow dsmers,

I am stumped and came here for help. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot. Anyway, I have a 91 talon it has a rewired 255, precision 1200 injectors, fuel lab afpr, competition pressure plate, six puck clutch, fidanza flywheel, and jackal for tuning. So the problem I am having is at idle and driving I can hear a metalic sound almost sounds like it is coming from the front of the engine. I have checked the turbo and spun it with the car off and cannot reproduce the noise. Also when driving the car it will do fine if I am in vacuum but once it hits boost it seems like 2 cylinders cut out. When I open the hood I see oil sitting on the intake manifold right by the #4 injector. I'm thinking I may have blow by and it is pushing oil out the pcv? I have not done a compression test yet but it is on my list of things to do. I have read about lifters sticking but I don't think that is it because I do not hear any lifter tick. It all started after I was doing a pull in 3rd at 23 psi when it broke the exhaust manifold and started running poorly. I have been wracking my brain trying to think of what it could be but I am lost. If it was bad rings then wouldn't the car be burning oil? It is not burning any oil. Another thing I am going to check is the timing to make sure it didn't jump timing. I have thought about taking the engine back out and sending it to the machine shop to get the bottom end built.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Do you have any codes? Engine light coming on when it starts missing?
