missing fuel pump bracket

Ok so heres the deal, I was swapping out my stock fuel pump for an evo9 pump and when I removed the hanger assembly I noticed that the bottom of the bracket that holds the fuel pump is gone. I have no idea where it went I guess someone forgot to put it back in. So my question is can I just use a piece of metal and bend a 90 on it and put a piece of rubber under the fuel pump, bolt it up and be good to go. Or did that piece have something special on it that I cant replicate. Also I salvaged my o ring and top hat pieces off of the old pump but there was no spacer on it. Do I also need this?

I would go to the junkyard and pull another one. It should be cheap. Hope this helps.

Ditch the o-ring and spacer and go down to a Toyota dealership and order part number: 23239-21010. It's an improvement in every sense of the word, and it shouldn't cost more than two bucks.

I no I never followed up on this but I dont like threads to go unresolved. For anyone in the future that finds that someone did a hack job on there fuel pump assembly read my post at the bottom of this thread.

I basically do a step by step on how I fixed my line and attached the fuel pump to the bracket. It didnt cost much and it works great. I hope this might help someone in a bind.
