When I bought my DSM and dropped the sub frame out, I knew before hand I was missing the A/C bracket, but I'm not sure I'm missing any other bracket as of yet, I wanted to see if some body could shed some light on that. I've already got a a/c bracket out of a 1g turbo because I didn't see
a differance between 1g and 2g on the brackets for which I might be wrong, but the left shaft support bearing ties into it some how because the way its made, I just dont know if I have everything to tie it in.

If I'm missing something else besides the bracket please inlighten me and if somebody has it and can let one go lets deal LOL :thumb:

The left bolt of the carrier bearing bolts through the bracket, it acts as a spacer. The right bolt bolts to the motor directly. You can measure the thickness of the bracket, and use washers in place and leave the bracket off if wanted.

I appreciate the info, I'm planning on putting the a/c back in, LOL gotta have some creature comfort, gets a little wam down here to keep it out, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing anything else. I was wondering because the engine I have is a 92 6-bolt and the car is a 2g, I havethe engine off right now so I couldnt check it right away for fitting.

There is a difference in the brackets where the tensioners bolt up.

Correct the 1g ac bracket won't work on a 2g motor because the ac tensioner will not bolt up correctly. On a 1g the tensioner bolts to the ac bracket, AND the engine mount bracket. On a 2g there is no bolt hole in the engine mount bracket for the tensioner to bolt to. You will need the 2g bracket and 2g tensioner. If you need one pm me, i've got both lying around.

I have a 1g 6-bolt in my 2g car, do I still need the 2g bracket for it to work, or can I get away with the 1g bracket? If I still need the 2g set, how much you want for it? Do you still have the compressor?

From looking at your pic you have the late model intermediate shaft which will require the late model ac bracket. On the late model cars the other hole bolts to the actual bracket itself instead of going thru it and into the block. There is no other way around it other than getting the early 2g intermediate shaft.

The car I have was kinda frankinsteined together, some of the stuff on it I'm still trying to figure what some of it is LOL, well will the 2g bracket fit the 1g block with any problem? if it doesn't, if you have a setup I needing, are you willing to part with it?
*** I just seen your ad with the bracket** is that the complete bracket with the idler?

Just get a 97-99 AC Bracket and you will be OK, the 97-99 AC Bracket will fit your 6 bolt block and your Intermediate shaft.
If you get a 95-96 AC Bracket, You will need the 95-96 Intermediate shaft as well.

Just askin, what is difference between the 95-96 brackets and 97-99 brackets?

Here is the 97-99 Bracket.
It has an extra hole to bolt one bolt for the intermediate shaft, and the other bolt of the intermediate shaft bolts directly to the block before the AC Bracket.

Green... AC Compressor bolts.
Yellow... AC Bracket bolts.
Red...... Intermediate shaft bolt.

Here is the 95-96 Bracket.
It doesn't have the extra hole for the 97-99 intermediate shaft bolt, so the 97-99 intermediate shaft will not be able to bolt on the bracket.

Green... AC Compressor bolts.
Yellow.. AC Bracket bolts.
Red...... Intermediate shaft and AC Bracket bolt.

However, you can use a 95-96 intermediate shaft on both (95-99) AC brackets, which they both share the same AC bracket bolt attaching to the block, But you can not use a 97-99 intermediate shaft on a 95-96 AC Bracket.

Hope You understand what I am trying to say.
