Milling/Drilling Out Collector Area on 2g Manifold

Since I have a 2g manifold I'm thinking about porting out the collector area. Is it possible to take it to a machine shop and have them mill out a 7cm hole and cut down that lip inside a little more? I know someone that could do it for free so I was thinking this would give me more flow for no extra cost.

Just don't remove the divider inside the plenum. It helps to direct flow and will cause turbulence if you remove it.
