Just got my new seals and valves installed, got water sitting on the valves to see if any leaks exists. After that I'll install the BC268/272 cams shafts and cam gears. Everything went smooth and I used the K-motors compressor tool, it was only $50.

Put the head on the side and fill the actual ports up with alcohol, not water. Then blow compresed air around the valves. Its a slightly better way of checking sealing besides using a vacuum plate.
 
you won't check the entire circumference that way. Why don't you flip teh head over and fill the ports.
Good point.. I think I am satisfied with it though, knowing my luck it will be leaking where it wasn't sitting. Also the valves should also wear into the seat from idling/driving and finish off any sealing that's needed right?

I don't reccomend alcohol as it can dry out or damage valve stem seals. 0w20 or another lightweight oil. But water on aluminum isnt a big deal


Also the team xi or whatever spring tool is alright, but with the head off it probably would have been quicker with an old school lever cup tool.

My main gripe with the tool is that you can only do one valve at a time. Id rather pay 100 and get them all done quickly with a whole row that bolts to the head
 
How tight should the timing belt be during install? I have everything lined up and I just cant get the belt over the idler pulley. I feel like I shiuldnt have to force it this hard. I dont even have the tensioner pulley torqued in the correct position to allow more slack.
