might have found a possible fix for phantom knock

So my car has been plagued by pk for a while now. Like 40 counts under 3k rpm. I knew part of it was from my lifters but they didnt tick loud enough to cause that much knock and it couldnt be real knock or my car would have died a long time ago. I also had an intermittent code 44 ignition system problem. Well i poped open my ecu and it didnt look to bad but had that nasty smell when the caps are leaking. Well i sent it into ecm for a rebuild and when i got it back and plugged it in I let it relearn its fuel trims. After that i did a log with mmcd and i now have next to no knock sometimes up to 3 counts under 3k but thats it. i about cryed for joy. any way just trowing this out there for people to think about.
