Hey guys, I have a 96 Eagle Talon TSI. It has the stock t25, manual boost controller, Tial BOV, aftermarket boost gauge, and a FMIC. The problem I am having is that when I slightly put my foot into in second gear it is almost like the car doesn't want to move. Quite a few of the fins are bent up on the FMIC. Do you guys possibly think that I could be having a large boost leak because of it? My gauge says that I spike at 10psi, then it slowly creeps down to around 4-6psi. If not that could it possibly be a bad pump or restricted lines?

4-6 psi is really low. You should be seeing around 10. I would say you most likely have a few leaks, if you've never checked it. You should check the turbo for shaftplay as well.

i agree , also a nice easy way to find even small leaks during youre test is to spray soapy water anywhere there could possibly be a leak, i generaly test with about 20psi on anything.

if no leaks check your wastegate actuator position, may need adjusted a bit if the nut broke loose { assuming the 4g63t has an adjustable plunger arm}

I had the same problem with my T28 if I boosted anything over 12-14psi it would spike (even to 25psi) then drop to 12-14psi again. After trying everything in the book including changing wastegate. It turned out to be a about 9 small cracks on the underside of the stock manifold.

Oh yeah, multiple leaks in the FMIC. I kinda figured so seeing as how beat up it was LOL. I appreciate all the help guys! Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!
