By the way guys, a friend of mine talked to a manager of Tropical Park getting permission for us to advertise our meet on the 26th of April and said it was okay. (example news papers, graphic flyers, ect.). There is no problem as long we don't get out of control with burn outs, races, and constant engine reving.

They actually said they'd make a sign for us (like a direction sign) with a DSM logo of some sort. which is pretty neat.



Remember you guys can bring items to sell (DSM related please) and such.

I know this is off the topic, if I took my car for a tune up or oil change would they replace my air filter ? I kinda don't have one anymore (the air filter with the box) long story and Im broke right now to get a cold air intake or anything, I been driving without the filter for a couple of weeks

i know its kinda ghetto but have you thought about putting a sock at the end of your intake? if youre going to do it... pick a nice,clean, new one so theres less chance of lint going into your motor...i'd prefer running that over nothing at all...

Hmm I see. yeah reason why its cause some one took my air filter and box i had there before and broke into my car and my battery a couple weeks so i been driving without that haha yeah thanks i might try that idea.

dont use a sock as an air filter, thats ridiculous. just go to advanced auto and get a cheap air filter, theyre like 4 bucks.

I agree, let's start planning a set location for the 26th guys, we know it'll be in broward county, a specific address would be greatly appreciated for all of us who are going.

I don't know, there seems like a lot of confusion now. Changing the meet up location without a good amount of time seems like a bad idea. Shoulda been discussed the day after the meet in March imo.

I handed out a BUNCH of flyers to random DSMs about the Tropical Park meet on the 26th, and I don't have a way to contact them either if the place changes , so I'm not sure what you guys wanna do. If anything, I think it's better to move the meet a bit up north the next following meet (May 31st). Theres already a bunch of people going to tropical that aren't on these forums. Just throwing this out there.

If its set for that location, thats cool. Lets just try the to have the May meet some where more north. Hopefully the weather is good enough to give me enough confidence to make the long drive for this meet .

How about this idea:

We do Markham Park - even on the April 26th meet but us Miami-Dade guys can meet at Tropical Park at 12:00 and then depart there at 12:30-12:45 driving up 826 and I-75 as a group to Markham. Have the Markham Park meet start at about 1:30 or 2:00 or so.

This way we still accomplish the big turn out pulling in the Broward DSMs and at the same time have a 1 way, maybe even round trip Miami-Dade to Broward DSM group cruise.

Who is in for this?

Can we have this meet a bit more east too? Supposedly there's a park thats on Sheridan, about 2 miles west of 95 that we could meet up, I think that would be better for a lot of people. Its like a dollar to get in, but I think we can all handle that, right? Just a thought...
