i hope i can put this here. my car has been acting up the past few days. it seems it doesnt want to idle right uppon start up. i have it set at between 900 and 1k but when i start it now it seems to want to idle at around 600 for no reason untill the car is warm and has been driven around. the last mod i did was arp head studs and that was like a week prior to this. i have hks 272's but its never acted up like this. any ideas??

The plunger on your IAC sounds like it's stuck partially extended. I mean (partially closed) not letting air bypass for a cold start. My car was doing the same thing not too long ago and the symptoms are:

- Assisted warm up ( foot on gas )
- when it starts it sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders then progesses to a smoother idle
or lumpy 272 idle (typical)
- dies as soon as you lift (no foot on gas)
- warm restarts are butter (atleast 1/3 of the temp gauge)

if you have 2 or more of these symptoms check your IAC and or Clean the Passage that is sits in with some
NON - I REPEAT - NON FLAMMABLE Brake parts cleaner. - The last thing you need is a backfire in your manifold especially with leaking injectors.

- Solid

good call dude, thanks. im leaning towards the IAC cause i started the car yesterday and it started the idle problem again, so i unplugged it and there was no change in anything.
