Megan Racing Trailing arms

Has anyone tried using these? The previous owner of my car used 2" Eibach lowering springs and no camber kits so now my bushings are fried. I was wondering if these are a good choice to use since my car will be a daily driver and SCCA weekend warrior Any input or pics of installs would be much appreciated

Your bushings are dead because your car is 17 years old.

Slow down, Wes. Lowering can kill bushings.

Most people, when lowering their car, do not loosen every pick-up point and then retighten them when the car is back on the wheels. They never loosen the pick-ups at all. So the bushing, which is a bonded, sleeve-rubber-sleeve kind of bushing, is now twisted when sitting at static ride height. This greatly shortens their lifespan.

So lowering a car (without recentering the bushings) will cause them to die sooner.

With that said, this is a 17 year old car that we're talking about. What did the OP expect?

Which bushings? I've never done that?

Control arm bushings and anything others that pivot during suspension cycling.


I had always wondered how that affected bushing life.

Yes I realize this is a 17 year old car and I will soon be starting the process of redoing all of the suspension using a prothane bushing kit. I was just wondering if these trailing arms were any good or if anyone had ever used them. and thanks for the write-ups, those will be very useful.
