megan racing or Punishment racing 02 which to choose?

Hey guys i am in the market to get an 02 housing, and cant decide which o2 housing to get...............what is your opinion on the o2 housing the megan or the punishment. Keep in mind i want stainless steel (i know megan does)

One thing to mention though - the chrome paint will fade out pretty quickly and it will look dirty bluish.

your rarely going to find a manifold that does not turn colors on you.

Mine didnt. It turns blue because of the grease and shit on your hands when you start it up after touching it. When you install, before starting wipe it off good with windex or something, and it will turn the normal sexy goldish.

From experience, I say Megan. They are a vary reputable company and I have never had any issues with fitment or quality from anything I use from them.

I have run into some fitment issues with megan, however I have used this o2 housing and it does fit well. the EVO one makes power, and I would not expect any less from the DSM one. most of the fitement issues were with the 2g AWD DP and CBS but they are revising them.

I'm ordering the Megan 02 today. It's going to complete my already full Megan racing exhaust (dp back). I have yet to see a poor weld on any of the product and the simple fact that everything is mandrel bent is a big plus. I saw the Punishment DP my buddy got and was less than impressed. Not saying Punishment doens't make good stuff (i plan to order their 1g FMIC), but Megan does make quality exhaust products.

going with a Punishment Racing myself, because of the fact that i need a wastegate o2
BUT if Megan Racing made a wastegate o2... i would definelty buy, their dp was great fitment ZERO problems

Well, since this thread was bumped, I would like to change my vote from above. I got a MR o2 housing and it was junk. It wouldn't fit with my MR downpipe and sat at a different angle than the stock o2 housing.

No, I ported my stock one to use. I have no experience with the Punishment housing.

i have the MR o2 and its been on the car for more than a year now. Daily Driven 400+ miles/week. Its held up perfectly.

Of course, before that, I had bought a used SSAC dumped one and it worked great too. No cracks, leaks, etc... just too loud for my taste.

At the time, I needed something cheap. I could get Mild Steel from PR or SS from MR at a cheaper price. The welds and the fitment on the MR is stellar and it still looks good, even after a year of DD'ing.

Also, last note, PR stuff is mostly great, but a lot of their stuff is the EXACT same stuff thats on ebay, just food for thought. (I have their radiator and shroud, which is identical to CXRacings, and the quality is livable, but not great)

Megan Racing is (seems like) a good part. I have one as well and haven't had any problems. When I get my MR downpipe in and hooked up I'll see if I have any fitment issues. Punishment Racing however has a lifetime warranty for owner so it's gaurenteed and that I'm sure is worth the extra money. Not to mention that PR is also a supporting vendor whom is supported by us, the consumer.

The parts Punishment actually make are great.However their budget line products are the same chinese crap as everyone else. M/R included. As far as cracking and warranties go, an O2 housing does not see the stress that a manifold does and the least of my worries is whether or not my O2 housing is under warranty.

IMO either or. I believe megan maybe a little bit cheaper but I love the guys over at Punishment Racing. Great customer service and great parts! Their prices aren't bad either. Nothing wrong with Megan as I'm running their DP but I've had better experience with PR.
