megan racing or Punishment racing 02 which to choose?

Hey guys i am in the market to get an 02 housing, and cant decide which o2 housing to get...............what is your opinion on the o2 housing the megan or the punishment. Keep in mind i want stainless steel (i know megan does)

I am mostly looking at the megan over the punisment due to price is there any reason for me to pay the extra for the punishment.

I had a punishment racing o2 dump (mild steel) and moved to the megan racing stainless (recirculated). I have reason to believe that both products are quality and have no beef with either or. Megan does have a much cheaper deal, but dont' let it scare you!

From experience, I say Megan. They are a vary reputable company and I have never had any issues with fitment or quality from anything I use from them.

I have the megan recirculated o2 housing. It was like 110.00 bucks and it fit perfect with no problems and still looks great. I say Megan. They make great quality products at half the price of others.

I have the Punishment one, granted it was a little more I am sure the quality is much better and I feel good supporting a good fabricator and vendor. And in the future will use him for my exhaust needs.

why not buy your parts from a vendor that supports the dsm community.. Megan racing could care less about contributing to our cars, they just want make money, not to mention when one of the welds cracks (if it ever does) you don't have the piece of mind that it will be taken care of. Tim is the man, I'd buy a punishment racing one, but then again if money is an issure, get what you can afford

I am currently running the Megan Racing full 3 inch exhaust, as well as the megan o2 housing, and have to say they are really nice. The welds all seem to be solid. I have been running both of these for probably 6 or so months and not a single problem. I would tell anyone to buy these if they are looking for a decent product without the high price tag.

I have the Megan Racing 02 myself and I've had no problems with it. I had no boost creep and no spikes since I got it (but I also got a different turbo, and a whole bunch of ported stuff as well). One thing to mention though - the chrome paint will fade out pretty quickly and it will look dirty bluish.

I do agree with the poster who suggested supporting Punishment Racing just for the sole fact that they're a vendor that's involved with the community. If you strapped on $$$, I'd go with the Megan Racing; if you can afford it - get the Punishment Racing. Thing of it as paying extra for the extended warranty.

your rarely going to find a manifold that does not turn colors on you.

I'm ordering the Megan 02 today. It's going to complete my already full Megan racing exhaust (dp back). I have yet to see a poor weld on any of the product and the simple fact that everything is mandrel bent is a big plus. I saw the Punishment DP my buddy got and was less than impressed. Not saying Punishment doens't make good stuff (i plan to order their 1g FMIC), but Megan does make quality exhaust products.

I have the Punishment Racing o2 Dump. I didn't pay website price for it though, I ended up emailing them an entire orders worth of parts and they saved me a few hundred on the out the door price so it was almost like 40% off my entire order! Was worth it and sounds MEAN IMO!

I would say just get one of those cheap ebay stainless steel o2 housings. I got one and it is real nice. Bolted up great looks great and was great quality and super cheap. Like 60 bucks or something.

Much to learn. Just cause you spend more money on a part does not make it better.

I say megan. They are cheaper, and it comes nice and shiny. Looks awesome. Great quality.

well I was going to buy the megan o2 housing, but I went with the punishment racing 2.5 atmosphere dump. I got it off their site for $129 shipped to my door. It is awesome, such good quality, only thing that sucks is that it didnt come with gasket or hardware, but other then that its swweeeeettt!!!
