2G Megan racing downpipe

I plan on buying the megan racing cat-back exhaust..but first want to buy the downpipe..so my question is will the 3' DP be compatable with the rest of the stock exhaust?.

I had the same set up on my car and it fit perfect

Put it this way. I had my 3" Megan catback bolted to my dp and it was a little bit bigger than stock. (Had it bolted to a 2.5" or so high flow cat.) very very veryyy right fit.

If the dp goes from 2.5 at the 02 housing to three inch you will have to have a 3 inch flange by the cat you will have to have the stock exhaust adapted. Make sure if your buying the two separate that you get the right matching set. You don't want to have a cat delete set and be wanting to mount a cat on it. get one that will run a cat that you can replace with a "test pipe" or race pipe. I had an issue I bought a megan dp that went 2.5 to 3 and then the rest that went 2.5 to 3 so I had to have it cut and ran a 3 inch flange to make it seal right.

Hold a 3 inch gasket to the 2.5 flange and you will see how little would be in the mating surface

Ok cool..i appreaciate the help..also is there a sound difference and/or performance difference with JUST the downpipe on..im just curious becuase i plan on later down the road grab full 3' exhaust..

When I put my catback on it made a diff in sound nicely. Then when I put my dp on it made it really throaty and it sounds great. I'd say go with a cat first if you can afford and apply it.

I would just save and do them both together and only have to be under it once..
