ok i got my MR DP and their is like some shit inside probaly from making it like little metal pecies and its like oily, should i leave it, put water in it, or use an air compressor ?
thanks

thats called slag from the welding. since it the exhaust it dosent really matter. but if your anal about it take a wire brush and just brush them off..

strange my N1 dp didnt have that.. i guess ya get the quality you pay for.

thats a tyte downpipe...put it on my friends talon and its really nice fit and a nice true 3" downpipe...

wow  the apex n1 actually necks down in some areas....its not SS...and you pay triple the price...

good choice on the downpipe...

just was that shit out and put it on....its tyte

It is likely that this is actually grinding dust. It appears they ground the inside of the welds to prevent lips (a good thing). If the DP is not made of stainless stell or even if it is sometimes shops will leave the machining residue on the material to prevent corrosion while in storage. Some hot water, dish soap, a hose, or compressed air will work. However; as this piece is behind the last active part of your engine (the turbo turbine) then it can have all sorts of stuff in it and not hurt a fly.

I would think that the exhaust will:

A: Blow it all out.
B: Burn off anything left sitting there.

As crankbender said,
"It is likely that this is actually grinding dust. It appears they ground the inside of the welds to prevent lips (a good thing)."

Yeah it does. I personally like it. The only problem I had was that it wouldn't match up to my Greddy EVO exhaust. There was about a 4 inch gap between the DP and catback, so I had to get a special "adapter" piece made. Greddy exhausts come with an adapter but its meant to connect the catback to the stock cat so it necks down from 3" to like 2".
