MD128617 FAT ECU...Where is it from?

I just purchased a md128617 from a local place But the ECU is fatter then the original ecu form my 91 galant vr4, I opened it and it has a double board inside, I pluged it in and the car fired up but it was idling hi like 1800rpm. Where is this ecu from? and what kind of specs am i looking at, Bigger injectors,timing...
 
Apparantly its a jdm unit. Good luck with that one-most jdms incorporate completely differnt logic and programming due to different emissions/ratings.
 
So I might be getting a check engine light for the tranny BUt I can still use it... Should I hook up the wideband and tune my AFC to that...
 
I dont know if you can use it. Most jdm engines have different wiring and sensors-sorry I cant be of more help. Good luck.
 
Its for a Galant JDM E-E33A SRGM 2. Basically Naturally Aspirated 2WD version. Its only an ECM and not a transmission control.
 
So did it come from a jdm galant with the switchable trans then?

But then it could have also came from a cyclone car..Which then means the double board should be the built in cyclone control..But Im no expert..Thats just a best gues scenario..

You are absolutely right. Its a naturally aspirated CYCLONE 4G63. I am not sure what you mean by switchable transmission. But if you mean that the same ECM will work with M/T, you are right. Mitsubishi I believe always had separate ECM and ECT units.
