Im just wondering is teeing the bov line and running one of my mbc lines to the t better then running it to a throttle body nipple?

i recently had one of my mbc lines connected to my throttle body nipple and took it to a shop and they said thats a huge no so instead they removed that line and capped the tb nipple and made a t fitting in the bov line and put my mbc line there instead now is that bad?

i have a non bleeder type mbc and they say Hooking up a bleeder type mbc to the bov line will result in a vacuum leak as well as affect the working of the BOV is this true? or either way bleeder type or not will cause this?

Do not tee anything into the bov line. Period. I would either run the bc line to the nipple on your throttle body like you had it OR better yet, tap a fitting into your j-pipe or intercooler pipe right after the turbo for a source for your boost controller. The boost controller will be more accurate closer to the turbo and with as least amount of vacuum line.

^+1. Run your line from your bov to your intake nipple. Then for your bc run it between your wastegate and the nipple on your j-pipe or intake compressor housing of your turbo. So you have wastegate - then bc then nipple on your j-pipe/ compressor housing on your turbo. But do not tee off of your bov line. With your bc try to put it as close as you can, it will be way more accurate.

yea im gonna tap the pipe soon but for now i should switch back to running it to the throttle body u think cause every since i switched to the bov line i was only hitting 12lbs but i was hitting 20 when i had the line to my tb and the shop told me just adjust the controller since u changed ports...

does it damage anything when u tee it off the bov line or cause u to run lean?

It shouldn't damage anything, I have the one on the Talon teed off of the BoV line and everything is fine, running the 16 pounds of boost I have it set to. I heard something about it spiking more often if you run it off of the BoV line, but have yet to see that happen.

You know... I remember telling the OP this exact information, almost word for word, via AIM, yesterday.

FORCEDPERFGSX24 (10:59:54 PM): and ran one of my mbc lines to the intake manifold instead of the throttle body
MrBoxx001 (11:00:06 PM): why would you do that?
MrBoxx001 (11:00:11 PM): J-PIPE
MrBoxx001 (11:00:15 PM): not manifold
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (11:00:36 PM): one line to the wastegate one to the intake manifold
MrBoxx001 (11:00:55 PM): Fine
MrBoxx001 (11:01:05 PM): as long as it's not the BOV line
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (11:02:10 PM): well im using part of the bov line i put a that splitter in between
MrBoxx001 (11:02:20 PM): what splitter?
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (11:02:33 PM): its like a 3 piece thing
MrBoxx001 (11:02:42 PM): god, NO!!
MrBoxx001 (11:02:52 PM): DON'T use the BOV line
MrBoxx001 (11:02:59 PM): that's the WORST place you could take the pressure signal from
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (11:03:14 PM): well thats what the dude said to do at the shop

FORCEDPERFGSX24 (11:03:44 PM): why what can happen now?
MrBoxx001 (11:04:02 PM): you're altering the pressure signal that's going to your BOV line, thus affecting how the BOV operates
MrBoxx001 (11:04:04 PM): Stop it!
MrBoxx001 (11:04:20 PM): Drill a damn hole in your J-pipe and take 2 seconds to run a damn tap through the hole.
MrBoxx001 (11:04:27 PM): Screw in a fitting and use that

And a few days before that:

FORCEDPERFGSX24 (11:04:43 PM): i was gonna just take my j-pipe off to a shop so they can weld a barb brass on
MrBoxx001 (11:05:21 PM): Or you could just drill it and tap it
MrBoxx001 (11:05:25 PM): Takes 10 minutes

Here's some advice I gave to OP on April 14th:

FORCEDPERFGSX24 (9:30:53 PM): as u see from that pic all my tb nipples are capped off but one cause its going to my mbc
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (9:30:58 PM): is that how its suppose to be?
MrBoxx001 (9:31:23 PM): Not really. The MBC should have a pressure source from the intercooler pipe/j-pipe/turbo compressor housing, not the TB
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (9:32:54 PM): so how can i set that up just cap the other nipple off and run that line to?
MrBoxx001 (9:33:26 PM): Run the line from the MBC to a nipple on your compressor housing or j-pipe.
MrBoxx001 (9:33:43 PM): You may have to make a nipple by drilling and tapping the intercooler pipe.

MrBoxx001 (9:33:51 PM): Then you can cap off the other one of the TB
FORCEDPERFGSX24 (9:40:20 PM): so it has to go to the the pipe that connects with the turbo?
MrBoxx001 (9:41:03 PM): yes

I don't know why people need to second-guess the answers I give to relatively simple questions. If this were the first time someone had done this to me (asked for my help, then asked the same question on Tuners a day or so later) I don't think I'd mind. However, this is not the first time that you have done this, talontsiboy24. This is probably about the third or fourth question you've publicly asked that I have already answered for you. In all cases, the answers given on this public forum have been nearly identical to the ones I gave you via PM.

If my answers aren't good enough for you, simply ask the questions here in the first place.

You posted the same thread yesterday, 1G Is my mbc lines ran wrong? in the Turbo System Tech Forum and today in the Newbie forum. Straight from the forum rules: Post in the correct forum, no cross posting in multiple forums

No it is not the best way, as the first two posters said, but it works as Chaos and I told you. Like I said on your other thread, if it makes you uncomfortable T-ing the BOV line, then run it from you TB until you get a nipple put on your j-pipe.
