I have a 97 gst 5 speed with a td04 13g what is the max boost I can run without causing damage to the turbo.

I'm sorry, but if you're asking this, don't touch the boost. You need supporting mods to SUPPORT more boost. A 13g is no powerhouse, if you're gonna be turning the boost up, get a 16g or at least a 14b to start messing with. More boost, means youre gonna need more fuel, gonna need to tune it somehow, and then you can safely run whatever boost ya want. I can only imagine a 13g will get to 15-20psi.

I'm not turning the boost up yet I just had a mbc laying around so I hooked it up. I'm looking for maybe around 250 whp is that possible with the 13g?

I still have the stock turbo would I be better of putting it on? I had to replace the motor and left the turbo that came with the jdm engine on not knowing it was different

Actually the 13g flows a little more air than the t25. I'm wondering though did you use the stock 2g exhaust manifold or the one that came off the jdm engine? If you're using a 2g manifold and the 13g then you're creating a bottleneck in your exhaust system. Basically the 2g manifold outlet is nearly twice the diameter of the 13g inlet, so that's something you don't want to do.

Either way I would find it extremely hard to push the 13g to what it's rated to flow, and I would BET that it would be easier to make power with the t25, due to the extreme exhaust restriction of the 13g and it's matching exhaust manifold. Either way it's your call. Since you already have the 2g exhaust manifold, 13g oil and coolant lines, j-pipe and intercooler pipe for the 13g your best bet is to find a used 14b for around $100 and swap that in it's place. You'll make much more power than either the t25 and 13g much easier and cheaper than if you were to try and run those turbos.

I'm using the exhaust manifold that came with the jdm engine. If I got a 14b what exhaust manifold should I use
