mas question

Hey I'm still a newbee her in the world of dsm i drive a 92 laser rs ( ported and polished heads bored .20 over all free mods done 2g pistons, and balance shafts removed)but a quick question..a friend of mine Say's i should run a 2g mas instead of my stock 1g, Ive done the free mods to it but he says the 2g is better but he couldn't say why(idiot) so my question is whats the difference in running a 2g mas, and if better what do i need to do to install one???

Yes, running a 2g mas is much better. Basically it just flows MUCH more air and you won't over run the stock mas and hit fuel cut. It made a huge difference on my car and mine was mostly stock. With your port and polish and bigger pistons i think it will make even more of a difference. I noticed quicker spool up and the turbo was more audible. Anyway here is the link to the vfaq on how to do it, it's very helpful so go ahead and invest in one. It's a pretty simple install if you can solder a little bit. I would suggest wiring it so you can unplug it if you need to go back to stock instead of directly into your current harness, but that's just me.

Best to wait until you're ready for larger injectors because you will need fuel management for the 2G mas. Do the injectors, 2G mas, logger and fuel fuel management together. Your next mods should be a boost gauge and controller => exhaust => fuel pump/afpr => fuel package/2G mas => intercooler => new turbo........Some where in between, sure up the suspension as safety and performance should go hand in hand.
