Make a Test pipe?

Hey everybody. I was wondering if i could make a test pipe. I have a welder and was thinking i could just go get a 2.5 inch steel pipe and put 2 exhaust flanges on it and weld them on. Could i do that? Seems simple enough.

Your right that will work great, just make sure its a good fit so it doesnt leak.

Cool, anyone know where i could get some flanges that arnt attached to anything? Or if not a flange that is attatched to somthing small so i could just cut it off?

Muffler shop. Or, a "test pipe" or high-flow cat off eBay might be cheaper than your time.
