major tuning problems

so.. after fixing my waste gate today car was running fine.. after i got gas i drove to a friends house and left at the first stoplight i stopped at a stoplight and my car died.... i tried to restart it but it didn't even turn the lights on. My friends came with jumper cables and the car started right up.. i figured the battery was just dead but as i was driving on the highway to recharge my battery whenever i went to 3k the car would turn off i would let off on the gas and it would turn right back on. so after driving for a while i turned around scared that i wasn't going to make it but thankfully i did. The only thing i could see was a loose battery terminal but i doubt that has anything to do with the problem.. This is what was done to the car today i fixed the wastegate and during that time my friend accidentally touched one part of the ratchet on the alternator and grounded it on the turbo manifold causing sparks to go everywhere. 2 i showed him my apexi afc neo and all the stuff it could do i could have changed some stuff accidentally im pretty sure that's whats going wrong.. So i need to ask how to return everything back to normal or stock the car isn't turning on due to the battery. But once i get a set of jumpercables it starts just fine any help of info would be nice. The car is a 1990 eclipse gsx turbo please help

it is also backfiring when the car is dying at 3k

I had somewhat of a similar problem, it was a bad alternator for me. Do you have the heat shield over you exhaust manifold? Those that remove it often have problems with the components located near it due to more heat.

i fixed the problem actually! your going to laugh it was just a bad battery terminal... the car would turn off and my apexi was off while the car was running! so it had no engine map or anything to run off of once i cleaned the erosion from the terminal it runs just like it did but the car is still way to rich... if anyone could help me with that that would be awesome
