MAJOR electrical problem

im in the process of swappign turbos....i went to re connect my battery to roll up my window which i left down before the swap, after re connecting the battery, i turned the key over to power up everything and when to roll up the window (power windows) nothing happened....so i re checked my connections, i turned on the radio, entered the security code and turned to a station...but no sound was coming from the speakers. I turned on my headlights and the horn immediately started blaring, i had to pull the fuse to shut it off, and after turning off my lights, they stayed on until i disconnected the battery again. all of my fuses are fine....i want to know why everything turns on ...but doesnt perform its task???

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, reconnect turn the key to the on position and use a multi-meter. Put it on DC voltage and check the fuses that way. When my power windows didn't work it was my alternator fuse that blew can blow putting the cables back on the battery, and it's the fuse under the hood.

Yes, you cannot check a fuse by looking at it (only if it is obviously blown). See "Fuse testing without removal ": http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179914
