OK, I was pulling the main bearings out of the saddle to clean the oil passages I noticed a few of them were marked up. Now, the day I was plastigaging the clearances I had to take my son to the E.R. and the crank sat in the saddles with the bearings in them with no caps on for 2 days. The only thing I did was plastigaged each bearing twice, torqued to 50 ft/pounds. Could me leaving the crank in there for two days do that for some reason? Most of the marks look like the coating wearing off, but there are two if I run my finger nail over them I can feel them, and those marks are right on the tangs. Any guesses?
