i need to know what to set the base and aux dials to on my translator as if i were running stock 450's thanks jon

any one?................. also what are the 4 mode switches set to?

Set the base size to correct for larger injectors.

See the link above for the full instructions.

I set it to 480's and it still runs a little rich. I hooked up the RPM signal cable to the translator, i'll try adjusting it in RPM mode to see if i can get it to run a bit leaner. Whats a good o2 voltage for not too lean and not too rich?

I have heard from a couple people that adjusting the MAFT to a 20%larger injector helps. Also changing the size of the maf helps.

For example, if you have 450cc injectors set to 540cc injectors. If you have a 3" maf, set to 3.5" and vice versa.

I personally have a 3.5" maf, set to that, and using 450c cinjectors set to 520cc Injectors.

Again, this may or may not work on your car. Try the changes at your own risk. It is wisely recommended that you have a data logger before making any adjustments.

When you say it's running rich, are you basing this from your O2 values or from your fuel trims? Read this tuning guide and you'll see that you adjust your translator according to your fuel trims:

I was going according to the o2 voltage, I didnt know what the hell I was doing. My car is down right now due to hydrolic clutch system problems so I cant really tune it right now.
I set the base knob to 470 injectors and it was still adding like 3% fuel at some points, when I get it working again I will tune according to that thread you posted.

Thanks.

When I just had my maft and no safc I set the maft to the 450's and adjusted the idle dial untill I hit 14.7 on the wideband. Now that I have the safc I set the maft at 450 and had to add fuel like crazy at idle. I am at +37% at idle. This puts me right around 14.7 AFR. Now under low throttle the car runs pretty good with a consistant 13.5-14.7 afr. When I get on the the car runs pig rich. I have the safc pulling -25% at 2000 up to 7000. Really weird. I have a some knock sensor problems that will be solved with a new knock sensor soon so tuning knock is impossable right now. So my guess is that the maft does translate hot wire to karman but not perfectly. I have 650's comming on the 10th so I hope to get it tuned alittle better. Good luck
