Maft - 2g Mas Question

okay, so here is what i was wondering. ive looked around but couldnt find an exact subject like im thinking of. i know of all the guys going MAFT, but i was wondering if anybody has ever tried to put the stock 2G MAS behind the bov, would this also work as a blo-through setup? so instead of going the whole blo-through MAFT route, i was wondering if you could make piping and all, if you could mount the stock 2G MAS and run it as a blo-through setup?

Nope, won't work. The 2g MAF is a Karmann Vortex type system where it counts air by the vortices it sees. Thats what that honeycomb stuff is on it, it straightens out the air. To count air on a blow through setup, you need a hot-wire system. Thats what the GM MAF is.
