This is my setup on the VR4

Big 16g, port/polish
Ported evo III manifold
Full 3" exhaust
Blow thru setup w/ JRC 8" core
RC 550cc injectors
Rewired 190lph fuel pump
Stage III DSMChip (550cc compensation, 1g mas w/ no lower, yadda yadda)
Apex'I S-AFCII

Now my question is what would cause my translator to not work? No matter where I put my WOT knob the car wants to lean out above 5k, <12.5+ The translator is still working because the red/green lights are solid and/or blinking when I turn the knobs.

Help a n00b tuner!

lets verify what are knobs/switches are set to, aux knob should be zero, base knob, on 2 (for stock 450cc) since your chip is doing the compensating., what size maf are u running?

dip switches are as follows, switches 1 & 2 off for 3in maf
switch 1 on and switch 2 off , if your running the 3.5maf

(off is down, up is on) also dip switch 4 should be off (in the maf mode) to make things easier for troubleshooting.

question, while the car is idling and your not messing with the knobs,Green LED
what are the red and green lights doing?

Green Led
OFF = idle
DIM = Part throttle/cruise (In RPM mode, the green LED turns on at 1000 RPM)
ON = MID

Red LED
OFF = No WOT modes are operating
DIM= WOT mode
ON = WOT mode and AUX Trigger is activated.
The Red LED will blink when the controls are adjusted to indicate the unit accepted the adjustment.

make sure u reset the ecu if any changes are made to the base knob.

Everything is setup properly, ie Aux 0 Base 2 for 450cc injectors. At idle both of the lights are doing nothing until I start turning knobs. It is a 3" MAF, with all of the proper adjustments.

With the #4 switch off I have the base setup, and everything else is 0'd out, is that the correct way to do it? Once that's finished and I wait, should I reset the ecu and then start tuning all of the base Idle, Mid, and WOT setups?

once u set the base(or make changes to it), reset the ecu. then u can play with the knobs. how much boost are u running? and when u say it leans out above 5k, are you wide open?
