Ok so i have searched and searched for this and have no success. My car is throwing a code for maf. I had pulled back the loom to see the wires, they had been cut and just twisted together to non matching colors? I have no idea why doesnt make any sense to me. Anyway i put them all back to their matching wires. After doing this im still getting the code for it p0100.

Now here is the strange thing the car was said to have ran before the motor seized. Obviously this is true. A motor cant exactly seize just sitting. The previous owners story added up perfect when we tore down the motor. We got the motor (6 bolt) put back together and to fire. The car runs like absolute crap obviously because of the maf issue. Now if i leave the maf unplugged the car will stay running as soon as i plug it in the car dies. If i try to start the car with maf plugged in it wont fire. Im super confussed.

Your maf is bad. When you unplug it, your car should run like total shit and sputter out. If it is the opposite then its bad. That is if your wiring is all correct. Also did you leave the battery unplugged for a while to clear code?

This whole thing with the cut wires sounds strange. There's a lot of wires there, do you thing the plug had to be replaced? Did you solder them or just twist or crimp them back to the original colors?

Just tightly twisted them for testing purposes only. If it would have worked i inteneded to solder them.

Try and clean them before you change out your Maf you can get a can of Maf cleaner and a qtip

This is not suggested for the Karmen MAF found on a 2g DSM. It works a bit differently than a hot wire style MAF. Cleaning it would likely cause more harm than good.

As jimsgsx suggested, I would swap out the MAF for a known functioning unit. I would also check the contacts on the wire harness side to ensure they are intact and clean.
