Iam planning on sending my block to a machine shop to get worked on. The head and bottom end. Iam shooting for an overall 400 hp goal or around that mark. Any suggestions on what I should get done on it? Thanks

There is a lot that goes with this question. The car guy answer is: everything. However, assuming you will be building a forged short block, think about whether you will stick with standard or over-sized pistons, in which case you'll need to have the block bored. Good machine shops can virtually do anything for you. From balancing your rotating assembly (very important), to decking it and in some cases hot-tanking the block to get it very, very clean.
