I am just beginning my rebuild, and I currently live in a small town with one local machine shop. Any other machine shop is 3-5 hours away from me. I talked to the local machine shop here and he has done a few 4g63 blocks in the past. He told me they are "fun," and I continued to ask him if he recomends a torque plate...He told me that he is not against them but doesnt recomend them with that particular block. He has been there 20+ years and does have alot of knowledge though. I have heard good things about him from local shops and a few bad things from local people. I was wondering If I should take my block to someone who has a vast knowledge of the 4g63 block rather that taking the chance with him. my setup includes Eagle Crank,Eagle rods, and Ross pistons.
Any input is appreciated.
