I will put a list together of all the stuff I want done at the machine shop. If anyone could give me a figure of about how much it will come to. The machine shop is Perfered Automotive a small local shop but they do good work I have heard and worked on 4G63's before.

- hottank block
- deck block
- bore .020 and hone
- aline hone for arp main studs
- shot peen rods
- magnaflux block and rods (is this nessary)
- resurface ACT XACT Flywheel
- press out old pistons and press new pistons onto rods
- clean crankshaft
- balance crank, pistons, rods

Also I have arp rod bolts is it worth install them onto stock 1g big rods or use stock bolts. And if I install them is anything needed to be done to the rods themsefl?

I though this was only something done during manufacturing... am I wrong?

It probably isn't necessary unless you suspect your block is cracked.

- resurface ACT XACT Flywheel
I'm not sure on this one.

I don't know about this one either.

This should be another $100 or so.

All of those estimates are somewhat conservative averages of quotes I've been given by various machine shops in my area.

Hey man the best way to know what something is going to cost is to call the company that you want to machine your block. Prices vary across the nation. For here in WV it was 180 to deglaze the block, hot tank it, bore it 20 over, and to deck. Shot peening rods shouldn't be that expensive along with putting on pistons unless you need to make the pin hole bigger (when using 1g rods and 2g pistons). I would definetly magnaflux your rods to see if they are still good. You may want to get arp rod bolts to to recondition them if you need to. But seriously give the company a call and ask them, most of the machine shops are more than happy to give you estimates and the ones that aren't don't get your service.

Thanks Velocita' & Mitsubishified... The reason i made the post tonight because tommrow after work around 4 im calling the machine shop and asking them. But i wanted to get a estimate of what it would be from dsm'ers who have had it done or know. And i don't need the rod resized. So that should keep the prize alittle cheaper.
