Taking measurements on the head in the areas the haynes suggests with a carpenters square/straight edge I cannot fit .005 under anywhere, .008 is the limit. I was thinking about getting the head milled anyway but I feel I'm wasting my money. Agree? This will be a stock daily driver with a oem gasket.

If its within specs and you aint bumping up boost use it. One thing why did you pull your head?

.002 is the tolerance I go by especially when building a turbo motor, if you can get anything over .002 under a straight edge on the deck surface or head surface it needs to be milled. also dont settle for the oem gasket its junk, step up to the metal multi layer

What was to be a stock swap for the turbo turned into broken exhuast head bolts, broken easy out, so now its new head, timing belt, water pump etc etc. I need the experience anyways. 1st head swap.
