m/t starter plate

Does anyone know if there is a difference between a turbo awd and a turbo non-awd starter plate? I am currently doing an auto to manual swap. I am using a '90 turbo m/t trans to replace my '92 auto n/t trans. DSM graveyard has a starter plate i am currently looking at. I've read that you can cut the plate to make the old one work. True? Yes, there is a difference. It was also answered in post #5 of this thread you already posted in and asked the same question:

My bad. The first part of it was in the other post but is there a way to alter the automatic plate to fit. The only difference I see is the location of the cutout for the starter and starter bolts?
