Thats rough... I bought some wheels from wheelsnext.com and they came with those type of lugs. That might be a good place to check out to see if they sell them.

usually "tuner lugs" are key specific. you can try and retap that lug but if that doesn't work i'd suggest buying a new set.

Autozone specials is what you have now....I could have sworn up and down our lugs were m12 x 1.50???? regardless Autozone will have the full set with same key and all for 32.99 Trust me I work their =]

There is a mom an pop shop in my city where I went a few years ago in need of a specific lug key, the guy went in the back and pulled out a large collection of lug keys and went through them til he found one that almost fit, hit it with a grinder to make it fit well enough, and sold it to me for $20. It's gonna be tough, but I would look for a veteran tire installer in your town and ask him if he could help. Or buy a new set of 5 and just keep 2 keys around. Good luck.

I mean I want new lugs. Cause the lugs are all gummed up and nasty. So I want a kit that has lug nuts as well as a key. And 1 stud on each tire has had to have been broken off.

So I have new studs for all four. But I'm scared to get the wrong lug nuts. And I'm needing help. I would like a link if that wouldn't be a problem.

And I was at the Discount Tire in my town. And they had to brake off one of the lugs to change my tire. Well they gave me a card to take it to a shop they want me to to change it. And I just never had the time to do it. I asked them if they had lug nuts that would fit my rim. And they told me no they dont sell lug nuts or replace studs.

And I have had these new studs from NAPA sitting in my car. But once again I have not had the time to change them. I plan on doing them here when I take her to my dads shop to do a few other things.

I have aftermarket rims. (American Racing) So I have aftermarket lugs. I guess their called tuner lugs. So their a different size.

Take one stud down to a hardware store and have the thread pitch and size measured for you. I know it is still a m12 but the thread pitch shouldnt have changed either... I am running the exact same lugs on my car with my g35 wheels... Same key and all! Hell have a local wheel shop size it for you if it seems better to you! But that kit you have that is all EFFED UP is a Autozone kit I know for a fact.

Double check if that set is the right size that you have....That may be why your lug nuts are all effed up. Just saying man....

They probably are factory m12 x 1.25 and I am probably just going crazy LOL

the size deals with the thread, a tuner lug and an oem will have the same thread pattern. That doesnt change going from lug to lug. Just FYI

just lookup on google the size you need, in a tuner lug, and find what you like. Stay away from "spline drive" and use the kind where the key fits in the lug, like what you have. Easy!:thumb:

Thanks, I needed some more clarification on what to look up. I went to AutoZone tonight and found the same exact lug kit with the same exact key as mine like 1gdsmftw said. And It was 35 bucks. But I didn't buy it. Going to give it a couple more days.

Well I went to AutoZone, and your right. Its the same exact kit. Except some loser cut out the key from the package. -_-

So I'm going to go in before the end of the week to see if I can get it marked down because it is missing a key.

The factory thread is M12x1.5.... Autozone, advanced, etc carry them. Acorn, bottoms, with either external splines, or the internal version you have in the pics.

Well, discount lied to you then. They DO sell lugs. 2 of our DSMs are rolling with sets from them right now (one set purchased here in Indiana, the other at a discount tire in Chandler, AZ. Regardless, looks like AutoZone is your best bet

I would reccommend going with the "spline drive" acorn style lugs. Only because I have seen the style you have rust on, and therefore snap studs trying to remove them far too many times. My talon had those, and I snapped all but about 3 or 4 studs. As long as you dont hit the spline drive key with an impact, you'll be good. I've never had a rust problem with the 2 sets I've owned.

I believe you're looking for a "9 point, open ended, slim / skinny tuner lug" in a M12x1.5" or 1.25"

Don't bring up 1.25 threading again - anywhere on this site - unless someone explicitly says that they have installed new lugs that are 1.25 threaded. That's exactly the kind of advice that causes people to destroy their lugs.

So I WAS correct on the m12x1.5 threading size! Thanks LOL I guess I'm not going crazy senile just yet. XD

Well their is a few lug nuts that go on perfect. I think this guy would take the impact and put them on. When I have been told you should hand tighten them. Then hit it with a impact.

i don't trust anyone at autozone.

Well theirs pros and cons to both of these options.

Ebay pros- cheap prices, more varieties
Ebay cons- cant see the product, low quality products

AutoZone pros- Get to see the product and prices are about the same.
AutoZone cons- low quality products (most of the time)

So either way your sinking and sailing at the same time.

Why don't you just do the smart thing and replace all of your studs and then buy a complete set of lugnuts that you are not going to have issues with? Yes, you will pay a bit more for the lugnuts and spend more time replacing studs, but will it not be worth it every time you take off the wheels?

Lug nuts are lug nuts regardless..... I work at autozone and I actually know what I'm doing so saying you trust nobody from their is pretty closed minded....I am using the exact same set op has on his car and they were bought from Autozone and are and have been holding up just fine with zero issues....

i don't trust anyone at autozone.

This comment was a very non productive comment....... Thank you for filling this thread with useless bullsh**
