Please post pics of your lower radiator hose (from bottom of radiator to engine) in a 2g with a 6 bolt swap. Some say they have to cut the shift weight, others say they are able to run it without cutting the shift weight. Please post pics as well as indicate what radiator hose you used if known.

Thank You

I used a 6 bolt lower hose and think 2 g top hose.I cut the weight off the trans but had things in there like huge 4 inch fp intake pipe. I dont' really notice any shifting problems with the weight gone.

I don't have a picture, but I used a 6 bolt hose. The counter weights are cut off. However it still rubs horribly on the intake and front motor mount. I cut another peice of hose and wrapped it so that the motor mount doesn't put a hole in it. The intake is blunt enough that it will be years before it wears a hole in it.

I have had about 3 6-bolt lower radiator hoses, all from the same place (Autozone or Advance, don't remember which) and the fitment has been different with each one. I think they must cut each one differently. My current one had more length on the top (from the water pipe) and less length on the bottom (closest to the radiator) and that seemed to be the best combo for me. I've got a few inches of clearance between the couter weight and the radiator hose.

If you are having issues and want to settle the problem once and for all, I'd recommend the flexible hose from Summit or any other race shop. That way you can get it to clear everything with no worries.
