What a bad day. My car is having huge troubles. It has a really low idle and doesnt maintain one either. Also, it won't rev up past 3k when in gear. If I floor it it will just make like a quick quicking noise, kind of like a rev limiter. I pulled the intake off to check the turbo for shaft play and to see if it was seized or not. None whatsoever. Only mods I have are an exhaust, clutch, and intake. So what the hell could be causing this ego-crushing problem?

Mafs plugged in? If so, Check ALL of your intercooler connections, And also the actual piping to make sure none are disconnected or have hole/slits in them. Check out fine? Do a boost leak test... Come back with the results of the above mentioned.

Yes, the MAF is pluuged in.I checked all intercooler pipes and misc tubes. I don't have a boost leak tester..well I tried to build one but I don't know how to get the valve stem flush with the hole so that air wont rush out after eash pump of the air pump. Just hypothetically speaking, if it is not a boost leak, what would be the problem?

Did you install a SAFC? if so you are wired wrong.

"You read the wrong section in the manual and chose the yellow and white wires to modify the air flow signal. Wrong, you should have used the pink and orange wires.
You have a bad connection on either the pink or orange wire.
You have the pink and orange wires reversed.
You didn't select "Karman" for the air flow meter type"

Sounds like that maybe your downpipe might be leaking. I was going down the road and I blew the down pipe off of my turbo...hehe... Perhaps that might be it. WHen it happened I experienced similar problems.

Um. it looks to be there. I had to use her for an emergency trip to advance today, and it pretty much seems like it is the BOV. I visually inspected the BOV itself and didnt see any cracks however. But when going down the road It sounded like the BOV was stuck open. Could this be the main cause of this hell of problems?

what BOV do you have? if it is stock, it is not likely to fail. If it is stock and you have the boost turned up somehow, or not intentionally, you will have some issues. From your last description-YOU HAVE A BOOST LEAK. Not talking a little crack or something. YOU HAVE A COMPLETE COUPLER TO THE INTERCOOLER BLOWN OFF. Or some other high pressure line. For your car to run the way you are describing you do not need a leak test. You need to visually and physically inspect all of your upper and lower I/C pipes and connections. You may want to give a list type description of your under hood mods in the posting. Let me know, this should be easy, bro :thumb:

If worse comes to worse take a can of WD40 and spary your seams. You can also try ether (starting fluid) and see if your idle goes up while the car is running. The WD40 should help you see/hear leaks, the ether will give a spike in idle.

All I have for mods is a ExtremePSI intake, 3" Apexi N1 turboback, and a ACT 2100. Yes, the BOV is stock, and before this it would run between 13 an 14 psi. I will pull the intercooler piping out to find out though.

If you do the WD40/ether trick you shouldnt have to pull anything apart until/or you find a leak.

i had a problem where i thought my stock bov was stuck open, all i heard was a pshhhhhhhhh sound when i was spooling up, come to find out it was just an IC pipe that wasnt placed in properlly.

So I wound up fixing it by "magic". I went through and checked every last T-Clamp and loosened and retightened all of them. It runs fine now I assume. I have a log of a run afterwards but I can't seem to ever get logs onto my computer. I use Palm N Stein. I think the seal between my BOV and UICP is bad judging by the gap there...I had to push down hard on the BOV while clamping it down to get it to seal up enough.
