crrently i am working on a 95 talon tsi awd manual for a buddy that has been in Iraq for 2 yrs. i got the car for him about a week ago now and i cant find out what the problem is. in neutrel, it revs out just fine, bov works properly, revs properly, no lag...etc. but under a load it will only go to 3000 rpms and wont climb any more. it starts blowing black smoke (fuel) and i noticed the boost guage kept getting higher. once it hits 3k it sounds like it's losing ALL boost. i have had a boost leak test done, timed it in, no sensors are showing codes, wastegate is good, injectors ohm out, ecu is good, coil pack is good, i changed the plugs, MAF is good, MBC is good, vacuum shows about -20, and i cant remember what else i have done. i just cant think of anything else. if you guys would be able to help that would GREAT!!!

WOW OMG

I had the same problem but mine was quickly fixed when i realized not only did i have a HUGE boost leak but I also had a wire from the MAF disconnected. When I had the huge boost leak, my stock boost gauge would just max out where as my after market gauge was MUCH higher than what my car should run stock and my car would also POUR out black smoke and it felt like the car was bogging out too....it was terrible....keep me updated on how everything turns out. I'm interested in knowing what it could be.

yah same here i was having the same problems and what happend was i blew off my licp so check all of your piping

It is obvious the problem is your running way rich, are you sure the maf is good???? If yo can't track down the problem thats causing the fuel problem, a quick fix to help lean it out some , is to adjust the screw on the bottom of the mass all the way out, this will lean it out some, this help a bit.
