Low Floor jack

anyone know where i can get a real low jack so when i lower my car i can actually get the jack out from under the car, or is there a special technique to do this...thanks

Yeah use your trunk jack to hold it up while you get the floor jack out from underneath. Or put a block of wood underneath the tire before you let it down then role it off the block. I have one of the lowest floor jacks made and it still won't fit under my talon.

Stock scissor jacks arent too safe.. I've seen many buckle,not to mention its a PIA to screw 'em up and screw 'em down. If you work on your car alot I recommend going with one of these:

i got a 3 TON floor jack for 90.00 at auto zone. Has nice wide lifting plate and it slider right under no problems.

I just drive my car up on a board (around 2"), gives me plenty of room for the jack.

Damn that jack is nice i should have bought me one of those. Even though the scissor jacks aren't safe they are only holding up the car for at most a minute while i pull the jack out from underneath....

if you had lowering springs it would be a problem
