How you doing guys. I have a 97 tsi fwd. i bought it with a bad transmission. Had it towed to my shop in Seymour and put a new trans and brand new clutch in it. So I didn't no how it drove. While doing the tranny I inspected everything and realized it has a Evo 16g turbo. Aftermarket inter cooler piping. Turbo back Megan racing exhaust. O2 housing. Drove it home last night and noticed it doesn't boost very well. Doesn't make boost until about 2500 and doesn't feel strong at all. One thing I did noticed was that the stock plastic bov nipple on top was broken and the hose was barely hanging on. What other possibilities may it be. I thought with a 16g this car would've been boosting hard. When In fact it doesn't even feel like it's boosting as much as the stock t25 did. Any ideas?

What you mean fully updated? I'm knew to this site sorry. And I was planning on smoking the vacuum system tomorrow

I just updated my profile

Just bought the car last week. Not sure what else it may have. But blt??

Ohh boost leak test. Ok got it will do thank you. But no gauges and how can i tell if I have ds link?

I'm just going to take a guess that you dont, since you don't have a few other basic mods. But the only way I can think of is to look at your ecu. But someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Ok will check the ecu and do a blt. And get back to this. Thank you

So changed my bov and put a greddy recirc bov on. Didn't really make a difference on the boosting issue. Going to smoke the vacuum system tomorrow and check for leaks. Hopefully it's something like a leaking line or something. Probably not tho. Haha. While I smoke it tomorrow should I check into anything else?

So I think I may have found the problem. Did a blt and smoked the vacuum system. Found that the silicone pipe going from the intercooler pipe on the turbo down to the intercooler has rubbed through and created a hole while rubbing up against the fan bracket. I'm hoping this is the only issue.
