The local track finally opened up and I was itching to get out and get a few passes. The two passes I did were only on 20psi with a 7 blade hx40 in the t3 housing. Car is tuned by my1gdsm. I must say he is a bad ass. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great tune. That being said I am only on 1000cc injectors still and running e85. So thats main reason for such low boost. First pass was 12.1@122 and second pass was 12.0@120. These were both with 1.9 60fts and bogged the 1-2 shift terribly!! With the boost being where it was and these runs being far from good I am pretty excited about this race season. Soon as I get my larger injectors (2150) I am gonna shoot for 35-38psi and maybe snag a 10 second pass!! :rocks:

Congrats!

Any logs?

Looking at this in a Twin Scroll setup on a 2g auto. Any suggestions?

Congrats, do you know what your race weight is?

With a good 60' your at 10 second trap speeds now. :thumb:

32psi on my 6 blade hx40 only netted me 124 trap. But I'm full weight all option and run the Tims turbos ".63" housing. I think the housing is killing me...

I'd have to agree- Dave trapped 130mph @ 18psi his first pass out this season with the ol' 60mm 6-blade / .70 BEP combo. ;)

Pretty damn light. :D

...but I have a local guy with a near-stock weight 1G who trapped 124 with a .70 T3 HX35 and a stock 6-bolt, so obviously you have a restriction there. ;)

Going by weight and trap speed i'm right around 500whp. What I don't get is the 9cm HY35 guys are making more power than me at the same boost. You think the 9cm housings are larger than Tims housings? What about the bolt-on BEP housing compared to a 9cm?

I have a BEP housing and HKS cast mani. that have been staring at me for awhile now. Picked up the set super cheap, but now i'm wondering if I want more housing.

Congrats!

Any logs?

I have a log of the 122 mph run... . But no logs will be posted, Sorry.
Maybe a screenshot if there is something specific you're looking to see... .

But Ya,
The car has WAY more in it though, This was a pretty quick tune and fairly conservative Friday so 1glaserfwd could get some seat time. The 122mph run could have been way faster ET. Logged nearly about 1 full second off the throttle lift shifting and the bog off the line really killed the ET.

Look forward to see what it will do here soon. Keep in mind this is a FWD car :thumb:

Btw Thanks 1glaser for the kind words :)

You think the 9cm housings are larger than Tims housings?
Sure seems like it; another thing that helps is the 9cm housing is specifically designed for use on that turbo, not adapted.

I am not sure how much my car weighs to be honest. Its a 1990 fwd laser. I have removed the a/c and pwr steering. Most of the plastic interior is gone. I still have all the seats and dash along with the door panels. It would have easily ran 11.7ish pass if I would not have bogged on the 1-2 shift as badly as it did. My wife took a video but her phone died at about 1/8 track. As soon as I get my wastegate dump finished I will go out again on just 20psi before I get my larger injectors and crank it up to 35ish psi. My1gdsm has some more tweaks also, I will post back with results next week as next drag race night here is 17th.

No, not quite. First gear is slightly different. See HERE. Really depends what transmissions you're comparing. 1g fwd vs 2g fwd and nearly the same though... . And yes he was... .

Yeah as my1gdsm said I was in 4th. I would have to look at the log but I think I was at 7200rpm in 4th. Any faster and I would of had to shift into 5th!! Looking into some 26" slicks now. I thought I mentioned it in this thread but I am running an AWD trans in FWD form!!
