I have a 90 plymouth laser rs fwd

mods;
evo 16g
walboro 255
3 inch turbo back exhaust
boost controller

When i run on waste gate boost 10 psi or so the car runs fire - a little rich per say but not too bad.
when i turn up the boost to 14 psi and go wot in 3rd gear at about 5500 rpms i get a loud pop - i think its fuel cut ... is this caused fm running too lean ? what do i need to work on ?
i have stock inj's and stock fpr btw

This may or may not be related to the problem you are experiencing, but from everything I have read in this forum, in order to use a walboro 255 fuel pump, you also need to install an AFPR - the stock fpr may not function properly with this fuel pump. You may want to try replacing your stock fpr with an AFPR and keep the 255, or replace the 255 with a walboro 190 and keep your stock fpr. Hope this helps. :thumb:

Well said zippy. The stock FPR gets overruned easily with the 255, making you run really rich. Once you get that done, do a boost leak test to check for leaks following a compression test. Reply after these tests and that mod is done.

Note: Log your run, 14 psi on 450'scc injectors can be a little hard.

no no fire coming out of the exhaust. if thats what your refering to .
I do have an aem wide band and when i go into boost i am well below 10.0 to 1 until like 5500 where it runs up to about 14 at redline

I know its been years but I did end up figuring out the problem ... it was a Boost leak
