I recently replaced the flywheel in my 95 GSX. I have been able to now drive the car around and take it up to redline a couple times.

Now I am having an issue whenever I accelerate heavily, I hit near maximum boost around 3K RPM and then loud pops come from my exhaust as I am stuck at 3300rpm until I let off and I instantly lose boost.

My car also has an SAFC if the helps any.

Thank you. :)

just to start you out in the right direction with your problem, it sounds to me that your issue is not with your boost but with your fuel mixture. Try turning down your boost and adjusting your fuel low trims then move on to your high trims. Be careful doing this on the street as you will be doing some acceleration and being distracted by your safc.

Best advice to give you is to save up, find a cheap dyno and go there to tune, street tuning to pretty hard to do unless you know what you are doing.

Or if you want just get it to run decent enough to take it to the dyno, find a eprom ecu and get dsmlink, this will enable you to adjust the fuel ratio in conjunction with your timing.

The people who tune your car @ the dyno wiith the safc will only be able to adjust so much before your ecu will start to pull to much timing, with dsm link they will be able to do both right there and they will be able to tune for MAX safe power output.

Hope this starts you out ok.

So the car can "untune" itself? The car ran perfectly before a couple high throttle runs.

Also the car will completely stall out if I take it out of gear after high throttle pulls.

Also, my ECU should already be EPROM since mine is a 95 right?

my car is having basically the same issue.
i just had the act 2100 clutch and xact flywheel installed.
i broke it in and car has been fine.
well, i was messing around with somebody and we raced.
i hit about 7000rpm and it had felt like i hit the rev limiter. (didnt do it before)
now once i hit about 5psi my car jumps and gets stuck at around 3500rpm like its a rev limiter.
i looked around in the engine and noticed that connected to the small hose coming from the stock bov to the intake manifold has a splitter but the other hose is coming out of that isnt connected to anything.
that hose has suction to it, like its a vacuum line, which is what im guessing it is.
im thinking that is to my boost controller considering the nipply guy on the end of it says HKS and my boost controller is hks.
i also noticed im missing a nut on my exhaust manifold on the end next to the cam gears.
any input would help.

(LOL sorry if i sound dumb, im still pretty new to the whole turbo/dsm thing)

This response might be irrelevant but i had that problem once i found out it was because i left an intake hose disconected that might not be the issue with you guys but run a boost leak test to make shure... anyway hope this helps

i fixed my issue.
i feel kinda dumb because i kept overlooking the obvious.
one of the connections in my intercooler piping wasnt tightened all the way and was causing a massive boost leak.
so for you, i would just run through and check for any boost leaks.

I found my issue. The pipe coming from the turbo to the intercooler came loose and the boost controller was set to really high boost for some reason
