Okay, so I just had my lateral control arms replaced and fixed the pesky 3/4" play I had.

Now when I drive the car, under accel from 0-50, car seems fine, has a bit of a wobble/vibration, until I hit 55 then the car makes a VERY loud VERY obvious popping clunking noise that stays consistent from that point on.

Some noteworthy things to mention
The car has solid mounts. all the way around it.
The vibration/noise began before it hit the shop for the Lower arm repair, figured it was them vibrating out.

When I tap the brakes, the popping will stop, maybe a wheel bearing?
Something?
Or CV halfshaft in a bind, or not properly in?

I just got the car back and this is quite bothersome, I drove 50 my entire way home, so I didn't notice til I hit the interstate today.

Please, any ideas?

If the noise is only in the front then you need to raise the car up and check the wheel bearings for play and all the balljoints/hardware holding the front end together. If the wheelbearings have play then check the nuts that hold the axle onto the bearing and make sure they are torqued properly. If it wobbles and vibrates it could also be a bad tire or 4. Make sure they are round and not flat spotted. A good flat spot tire will make a hell of a noise at higher speeds.

Got video? You never answered what end of the car it comes from. If you had the car at a shop then take it back and make them figure out what they screwed up or missed when they did the first job.

It was the dealer, and I planned on it, front right, where I hear and FEEL the issues.

You know what my stupid noise was from. My buddy didn't tighten my lug nuts all the way tight. I thought it was my axle and when I bought new ones to replace. I raise my car to take off my tires and wow. I loosen my lug nuts off with my hands with only a few threads left, 7/9 were loose. I was missing one on my driver side. Just a thought!

This was resolved long ago, turns out that after we replaced the lateral arms, a tire sheered a 2 1/4" patch off from it, throwing the tires wheel weights off and unbalancing the tire. Giving it a sound similar too a bad bearing.
