I already had a replacement made but I only had one key that did everything. This replacement key only starts the car. I don't really understand why it's like this. I tried both driver and passenger side and it won't unlock, but it starts the car just fine. What should I do? I went to the dealer to get the replacement and thats what they gave me.

they must have given you a bad one or something. Go back and show them what the key does.

Sometimes, the inner workings wear over time. This can cause replacement keys to not work quite right.

Usually, it's the other way around though. They'll often work well on external locks, but won't work in the more worn ignition.

Yea if the key wasn't going to work I would have expected it to work this way. There was only one key. The only problem is that the car is not on the road at this time. So I would have to go back and get a new one. Why would it work in the ignition but not the doors?

Multiple keys are common in all cars when new: one for everything (master), one for everything except glovebox/trunk (valet). It's rare but sometimes one for just doors/ignition or maybe just one of those two. So either you got the wrong key or your door locks or ignition was changed.
