had just rebuilt my head, started the motor and it was running choppy, tried to drive it and it has no power and every time i hit the gas it starts to stutter. had a guy do a compression test and said there was no compression for cylinder 3. i took the head apart again and expected to find a burnt valve but everything was ok. before this i checked my timing, plugs, plug wires, coil packs. bottom end is fresh has less than 7k miles on it.

did you do a valve job on the head? were the seats cut? if so ### the tip height of the valve reset?

well there is only so many reasons why you have O compression.....

(1) bent valves
(2) hole in the piston
(3) valves not closing fully
(a) HLAs not bleed properly
(b) incorrect valve stem tip height

lifters are only thing that have gone unchecked so far, get back to you on that one.
