I recenty had a bad injector on cylinder one. Thus running on only 3 cylinders. A couple of great guys from here came and helped me out. Found the bad injector, and retimed the engine (took of timing belt, reinstalled). When we tried to ground the timing with that plug thing on the firewall, cylinder 1 would drop immediatly. Unground it, cylinder 1 back. What would cause this to happen?

Next, my Talon has the stock 390cc injectors from the automatics. We now have a 450cc injector on cylinder 1. Timing is now set perfect as it was off. But now there is no power what so ever. Although the engine runs smoother than it ever has before. No sputtering, just not power. Any ideas as to what would cause these couple of problems?

You are still running the (1) 450cc injector, along with the other (3) being stock 390's? Correct?

the single 450 was pulled from a willing dsm as a last min replacement of a dead injector to get him home.
we also found his timing belt was off a tooth (previous owner) and fixed that also.

We were unable to set base ignition timing properly because every-time we grounded the timing pin on the firewall the car dropped spark to CYL 1.
I suspect the lack of power problem is because the base ignition timing is way off and he likely has very very little advance. also the remaining cylinders would be running slightly lean dude to the one larger injector, though not lean enough to do damage on a stock car on a highway trip.

When you go to grab those new 'auto' injectors dont forget to get the harness clips to replace those beat ones!:thumb:

Will do man. I may as well get me some fuel rail bolts that aren't 100ft long too ;)
