loss of power when shifting and braking

I have a 94 tsi when I shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd and whne braking I will lose power and almost die sometimes do but usually after a second or tow it kicks in and will go. has new fuel pump,16g turbo,and short shift.any thoughts

and it does it in reverse sometimes

You do realize that everytime you shift you lose boost, other then that is your BOV vented?

yea a vented BOV will make that happen or a big enough vacuum leak. Check for those.

im running a non turbo though so thats weird

vented bov, or something that causes it to run too rich.

I'm with them, I'd make sure the BOV is recirculated and then do a boost leak test, make sure all of the couplers are tight, check vacuum lines, etc.

tried everything still does it I thought it could be in the fuel system not getting enough pressure pulled the fuel pump. I pulled it again and the filter was already pretty covered in sediment so i cleaned it and am going to replace the inline filter to. any other suggestions
