Hey guys I was wondering if any of you might know what's wrong with my car. I recently purchased a 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse gsx from an old buddy of mines mother. The car has been sitting since 2004 after my buddy passed away. I replaced clutch and flywheel but since I have completed it I have problably put 5 miles on it. If shifting from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd the car just falls on its face. It will stay running but isn't recognizing my foot on the gas pedal or something. This is my first Dsm and I don't know what could be wrong. Thanks for looking.
 
Take the mas off and look inside. You should see "honeycomb" like pieces in it. I believe it's only the bottom that can be removed without having issues. If all pieces are removed you will need to replace them as it will make you throw a mas code. Your best bet is to make sure they are all there. Also as stated above, replace all your fluids,do basic maintenance on it, 7 yrs is a long time for a vehicle to sit. If you can get a proper mod list that will help out too.
 
3" apexi exhaust, venom fuel pump, venom injecors, greddy recirculated bov, greddy fmic, injen Cai, apexi electronic boost controller, apexi safc2.

I'm not sure if the ecu has been reflashed or not. I have only driven it around the block a couple of times but the motor didn't seem to get too hot. It sat for roughly an hour in my driveway running prior to driving it around.

What is the rating on that pump?

Do you blow any black smoke out the exhaust when you try and get on it, or smell gas at all?

Yes it does, I figured I was just flooding the thing but it isn't popping a code for that its just maf related.
 
Then you may want to think about getting a AFPR that way you don't over-run the injectors. And depending on what size those injectors are (you never answered that question) replace them with stock injectors until you come up with a way to tune your car (DSMLink).
 
Anyone happen to know what the pipe on the bottom left side of the BOV is.

Anyone have an idea

You don't have to worry about that pipe off the bloff off valve just plug the vaccum line in the top one.
